Frequently Asked Questions

How long has RallyReg been in operation?

The first version of RallyReg went live in April 2018 to manage registrations for the 4a Volta a Cardedeu.
RallyReg, as such, appear in the summer of 2020, with credit card integration, the ability to make registrations for regularity rallies, meetings, courses and other new features that we will publish soon.

How long does it take for registrations to appear in the list of registrants?

The publication is immediate. As soon as a participant submits his entry, it will appear on the provisiona entry list.

What payments systems does RallyReg accept?

Each organizer can choose the payment systems he accepts. The systems available are: credit card, bank transfer and cash payment.

What if I'm not interested in cash or credit card payments?

There are no problems. When the registration service is contracted you must indicate which payment systems you want to accept, and the registration form will only show those options.

When will I receive the registrations money?

Registrations are never collected by RallyReg. The registrations paid by bank transfer will be paid directly to your bank account; cash registrations will be paid directly to you, and the registrations paid by credit card will be paid directly to your Stripe account and then transferred to your bank account.

As an organizer, do I have to contract a payment gateway to be able to receive credit card payments?

No, it is not necessary.
One of the main challenges with RallyReg was hot to manage payment gateways. For an organization that only organizes one or two events a year, having a bank payment gateway as a large and unnecessary cost, since this gateway will onle be used for one or two months before each event.
RallyReg is integrated with the Stripe platform, whose function is to receive credit card payments, and only charges for the transactions made, not for maintenance, registration, configuration, etc.

So, do I need to create a Stripe account in order to be able to accept payments?

Only if you want to receive credit card payments. If you only want to accept cash or bank transfers, you don't need a Stripe account to operate with RallyReg.

Is there collection control? How does it work?

Yes, at any time you can check whe has paid and who has not paid the registration. In the case of credit card payments, this is fully automatic: when a payment is made RallyReg knows and marks the registration as collected. In the case of payments by bank transfer or cash, it is your responsibility to mark the registration as collected or not. Unfortunately, it is not possible to automate this task.

Do my participants have to come to this website to sign up for my rally?

Indirectly, yes. Once the event is configured and everything is ready to open registrations, we will send you by email two web addresses (URL) to publish on your website: an address to the provisional list of registered participants, and an address to make a new registration.
